Nestled among the gentle Canavese hills dotted with rows of vines facing Lake Viverone. This ancient Benedictine monastery derives its name from the oldest part of the structure, the “Cella di San Michele,” a votive chapel built between the 11th and 12th centuries AD, preserving parts of the original Romanesque structure and the stone bell tower.
Today, the Bagnod family, after significant renovation and modernization work, has recreated a center of pleasure that harmonizes tradition with the most modern technologies.
Starting with the wine cellar, visitors can taste all DOC and DOCG denominations of Canavese, from the hues of Erbaluce to the rare Carema, a product of heroic viticulture on terraces and dry-stone walls.
Cella Grande is always ready to welcome guests every day of the week, offering a RESTAURANT open for lunch and dinner, a BIOSPA (with heated pool, sauna, Turkish bath, and relaxation area), and 9 SUITES with lake views.
The facility boasts ample indoor spaces, with dedicated conference rooms, and splendid outdoor areas featuring a park with ancient trees, gardens, and terraces with lake views, making it ideal for hosting a multitude of events.
