- DAY 1
Carema – Borgofranco di Ivrea – Caluso
Meeting in Carema, Carema is a wine, but it is also a town of about 800 inhabitants, in the province of Turin, on the border with the Aosta Valley. It was once defined as a vineyard village, in the sense that the pergola vines were also found between the houses and adorned the gardens and courtyards. The location of the vineyards is a peculiarity of Carema: terraces of a natural amphitheater that starting from 300 meters above sea level reach up to 600 meters above sea level.
Visit to the cellar of history and future producers, and continuation to Borgofranco di Ivrea we will enter a “Balmetto” (typical cellar of the place), open exclusively for us where we will have the fascinating experience of touching the “now”: the icy breath of ‘air that comes from the bowels of the mountain (Mombarone) and blows steadily every second of every day since prehistoric times, keeping internal temperatures at 8 degrees. Typical dinner at a “Balmetto” and at the end continuation to Caluso For overnight stay.
- DAY 2
Caluso – Montmelian

The path we will follow retraces the ancient streets of the town, we will cross one of the entrance gates to the city, and we will approach the “Bric” hill, where we will admire the cultivation of the Erbaluce vine, a vine that gives life to three different wines, dry white, refined classic method sparkling wine, and excellent passito. Lunch with 0 km products and with local wines.
In the early afternoon departure for Savoie (France), where we will meet among the gentle vineyards of Chataigne and Montmelian. The AOC Vin de Savoie Montmélian designates a tiny annual production of less than 100 hectoliters of white wines and some reds from Mondeuse, on few plots (between 1 and 2 hectares) in the communes of Francin and Montmélian. The vineyards of Jacquère and more recently of Roussanne (or Bergeron) are located in a very suitable area on the right bank of the Isère, at the point where the Combe de Savoie and the Cluse de Chambery meet. Montmelian wines benefit from a very sunny south-east exposure and give dry whites a delicate note. Dinner and Overnight at the hotel.
