Meeting in Rivarolo Canavese

• 10.00 visit of the Castle of Malgrà

The castle was built between 1333 and 1336 by the feudatory count Martino of San Martino.

It remained the counts of San Martino until the mid-seventeenth century and was then subject to various changes of ownership. Enlarged several times in the centuries following its construction, in 1982 it was acquired by the Municipality that destined it to host exhibitions, concerts and cultural events.

After visit, lunch at the vinosteria-restaurant near the Castle where guests can eat typical dishes of our tradition combining a wine tasting.

• 14.30-15.00 transfer to Agliè and visit of the ducal castle, which, with its seven centuries long history, saw the passage of dukes, princes and kings.
• 15.00 – 16.30 (about 1h30 visit) The Castle of Agliè, formerly owned by the Marquises San Martino and then by the Savoy family, is surrounded by a park with secular trees and large greenhouses, and has over 300 rooms with a wealth of precious furnishings and collections. heterogeneous, ranging from paintings to archaeological finds, to surprising ornithological and oriental collections. The frescoed Ballroom and the succession of perfectly preserved period rooms make the castle a triumph of elegance and splendor. Possibility to visit the noble floor and the park.
• 4.30pm – 4.40pm: transfer by bus to San Giorgio Canavese for a visit and tasting at the Orsolani winery.
• 4.40 pm – guided tour of the Orsolani winery, famous for the production of Erbaluce. Four generations have succeeded in the Orsolani family, which boasts a history spanning more than 120 years. Their wines are characterized by tradition and personality and contain the essence of Canavese. After the visit there will be a wine tasting.
• 18.30 – 18.40 transfer to the Erbaluce hotel restaurant in Caluso.

Dinner at the restaurant where guests can taste typical and traditional cuisine paired with Canavese wines presented by the producers.
