“IVREA, 5 LAKES AND VIA FRANCIGENA”

Visit to the Five Lakes of the Serra: Sirio, Pistono, Nero, di Campagna, San Michele – which are spread over an area of about 10 square kilometers around the city of Ivrea. With the possibility to also enjoy the view of the Montalto Dora Castle and the San Giuseppe di Chiaverano Castle, which are surrounded by boundless landscapes and a very particular fauna. These natural paths around the lakes will regenerate your minds and your body … Lunch at the Osteria La Sosta in Settimo Vittone which is located on the Via Francigena in the building that was an ancient hospice for welcoming pilgrims, between the Morainic hills and the entrance to the Aosta Valley. The specialties are served in characteristic copper pans (Appetizers and snacks, Fresh homemade pasta, Polenta and cod). Later on walk to the Balmetti d’Ivrea, natural caves, actually used as wine cellars, thanks to the morenic glacier origin they keep constantly  fresh and cool the temperature
