In the 1950s, Adriano Olivetti built his “Social Factory” in Ivrea. A “gentle” factory, full of light, which spread beauty and culture and built a complete network of Social Services for employees, to relieve them of any form of worry and make them free to create and produce at their best. Olivetti built houses, kindergartens, summer camps, factory medical centers with the best professionals, libraries. The factory that becomes a “community” and in the countryside builds farmhouses that produce exceptional zero-kilometer products for company canteens. In this context of freedom and development, great technicians worked creating revolutionary products. As evidence of the story of an era, there remain the valuable Olivetti architectures, recently included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site and a unique experience, which our guide will show you, step by step, with many exclusive entrances, giving voice to the dreams of the past. , and to a generation of workers who, thanks to the Olivetti family, were able to dream in Ivrea and Canavese.
