DESCRIZIONE ESPERIENZA
An itinerary of 108 km total, divided into 5 Walking Stages, to be walked progressively or individually, depending on one’s training level and interests.
This proposal, an itinerary in several stages over several days, allows you to explore the perimeter of the entire Ivrea Moraine Amphitheater. It starts in a pre-mountain area, in the Municipality of Andrate, descending to the hills bordering the Vercelli plain and then ascending again on the secondary moraine of the Baltese glacier, to the Municipality of Brosso.
Hike 1:
Departure: Andrate Arrival: Lake Bertignano Time: 7 hours Length: 22 km Elevation gain +: 149 m. Height difference -: 519 m.
Hike 2:
Departure: Lake Bertigano Arrival: Masino Castle Time: 7 hours Length: 20 km Height difference +: 522 m. Height difference -: 668 m.
Hike 3:
Departure: Masino Castle Arrival: Caluso Time: 6 hours Length: 27 km Height difference +: 234 m. Height difference -: 274 m.
Hike 4:
Departure: Caluso Arrival: Vialfrè Time: 4 hours Length: 14 km Height difference +: 202 m. Height difference -: 60 m.
Hike 5:
Departure: Vialfrè Arrival: Brosso Time: 8 hours Length: 32 km Height difference +: 738 m. Height difference -: 378 m.
ATTREZZATURA NECESSARIA
Although the itinerary does not develop at high altitudes, participants are asked to bring/wear: comfortable shoes suitable for mountain trekking (with Vibram or similar, with good sole condition), their own trekking poles, an adequate supply of water, according to their drinking habits, and a wind jacket or similar.
