The best woods are selected in French oak forests to age the wine.

The food and wine excursion “From Oaks to Vines” will take us across the border. From France to Monferrato in one of Italy’s most important and historic barrel factories. We will follow in the historic Gamba winery, a Canavese company surrounded by greenery, the process of selecting the best French oak forests and their peculiarities. The transformation from oaks, to planks, to barrels. Storing, roasting, assembling, combined with the experience of several generations will guide us in discovering this ancient craft.

Light lunch with tasting and walk in the Canavese garden “the vineyard.”

Lunch will be held at an upper Canavese winery nestled in the woods, in which the fruits of the expert use of barrels to age wine will be appreciated.

In the afternoon we will do a light trek through the vineyards surrounded by flowers and trees retracing the choices that led to green production.
