DESCRIZIONE ESPERIENZA

The loop trail will be easy and suitable for everyone. It is designed to be able to
go and discover the ancient mule tracks, important communication routes for the
mountain hamlets in the area and learn more about the history of the Fortress of
Cesnola.

At the end of ‘excursion opportunity to enjoy a nice and tasty
merenda sinoira with food and wine products of the area, surrounded by green
of the moraine hills of the Valley of Dora Baltea.

The route area

Being able to understand and admire the Dora Baltea Valley for a person who comes
to visit this ‘area for the first time is not always so easy, but there are
places, often less known than others, which, with not excessive physical effort,
allow one to reach privileged positions to be able to observe the area
from above and better understand its morphology. One of these points is found by climbing
toward the mountain hamlet of Trovinasse, more precisely in the territory of the
municipality of Settimo Vittone, wedged between the orographic left of the stream
Chiussuma. The place, the target of our itinerary, is the hamlet of Cesnola.

Children may participate with the accompaniment of at least one parent
or guardian.

This itinerary is suitable for our 4-legged friends. The dog will need to be kept
close to its owner and on a leash or lunger.
CAUTION: Along the way you may encounter herding dogs that are not
always sociable.

I highly recommend bringing binoculars and camera.

Gathering

The meeting, for convenience, is set for 9. 45 a.m. in hamlet. Cesnola – parking
side SS26, Municipality of Settimo Vittone
The exact GPS point will be provided to the participants, via WhatsApp or other
manner to be agreed upon

Start and finish: Settimo Vittone, hamlet of Cesnola, 314 m. Time: 1 hour 30 minutes (breaks not included). Length: 5 km Height difference: 280 m. Duration: 3 hours
