CELLA GRANDE
Viverone
Anfiteatro Morenico di Ivrea
Rooms: 9
Among the rolling Canavese hills dotted with rows of vines facing Lake Viverone rises Cella Grande, an ancient Benedictine monastery whose name derives from the oldest part of the structure called “Cella di San Michele,” a votive chapel built between the 11th and 12th centuries AD, part of whose original Romanesque structure and stone bell tower are preserved. Today the Bagnod family, after major renovation and modernization, has recreated a hub of pleasures by harmonizing tradition with the latest technology. Starting from the winery, in which all the DOC and DOCG appellations of Canavese can be tasted, from the nuances of Erbaluce to the very rare Carema, son of heroic viticulture on terraces and dry stone walls. Cella Grande is always ready to accommodate, every day of the week, offering a RESTAURANT open for lunch and dinner, a BIOSPA (with heated pool, sauna, steam room and relaxation area) and 9 SUITES with lake views. The facility enjoys ample space both indoors, with dedicated conference rooms, and outdoors with a beautiful park with mature trees, gardens and terraces overlooking the lake, and thus lends itself to the staging of a multitude of events.
