PARAGLIDING
Some people always have their “head in the clouds,” in the true sense of the word! Always looking for a sense of freedom, lightness and a different point of view: these are the fans of free flight and paragliding.
The Canavese, because of its morphology, is a prime location for these types of activities: the mountains that frame it offer excellent launching points, and the winds and updrafts that form between the valleys and the plains do the rest.
Several flight schools provide equipment and qualified instructors, including for tandem paragliding flights.

Paragliding
The most iconic places to paraglide correspond to the mountains overlooking the plains and hills.
A must-see destination for enthusiasts and novices alike is Mount Cavallaria, with takeoffs placed at 3 different altitudes, facing both southwest and southeast: from there, flights range from the Aosta Valley to Valchiusella.
On the opposite side, they also take off from the slopes of Mombarone, at St. James of Andrate. Both share the same landing point, on the valley floor at Baio Dora.
If, on the other hand, you want to have the mountains of Gran Paradiso as a backdrop, you have to take off from the slopes of Punta Quinzeina, in Santa Elisabetta. And, again, from Mount Sapegna, in Rocca Canavese, flights start from the charming little church of Madonna della Neve.
Zip-line
Pure adrenaline: 1800 meters at 140 km/h hanging on a dream, a thrill!
There can be many opportunities to try such an experience: the flight can be solo or in pairs, you just need to let go, conquer your fears and enjoy the spectacle of the fast-flowing landscape below you.
The naturalistic setting is that of the mountains at the foot of Gran Paradiso, where the ancient stone hamlets of Frassinetto dot the green woods and meadows before giving way to the bare rock of the surrounding peaks.
